inconveniences and anxieties. I shall be chly glad to answer any

questions you may desire to ask me.

P.S.

Yours truly,

Sd.

H. B. Pandian.

I am in a peculiar situation here. For at Hongkong if I have

been in America or in India I could easily bring some of my import-

ant friends European who know me and my father well to prove my

genuine loyalty. Mr. C. G. Spence, High Court Judge, Vadras, knows

very well my father and hence me. If I am detained at Colombo I

could easily show the Goverment by easily bringing some of the

highest of the European officials who know my family to testify as

to my loyalty. I have produced enough of documents that I have not

been a friend of Har Dayal but only his enemy. Even when I left the

United States I did not tell even a single Windu that I am going to

India. Only I informed some of my American Christian friends that I

am going to India to help the Government.

Already to Hindus in

America have spread a strong rumour that I am a detective of the

Government. So much so that I lived at the home of the Secretary of

the American Bible Society, Mr. W. A. Mall, as those anarchists

would do something to my life. The other Findu who is with me I do

not know anything at him I only met him on board the ship at San

Francisco. I wish you could give me a private and personal hearing

of my statement and I want to explain clearly everything to you.

The Captain Superintendent of Police,

Hongkong.

(Intd.) H. E.
